Bulent Altan

Bulent Altan is a veteran of the New Space industry with more than 2 decades spent building up this sector as one of its chief architects and now the founding partner of Alpine Space Ventures, a German VC fund investing into the New Space sector. After his studies at the Technical University of Munich and Stanford, he was one of the earliest engineers and then senior executives of SpaceX, as their Vice President of Avionics, Guidance, Navigation and Control as well as their Vice President of Starlink Mission Assurance between the years of 2004 and 2017. After his stint with SpaceX, he has led the stock market listed German space company Mynaric while also investing into and supporting Isar Aerospace with his current partner in Alpine Space Ventures, Joram Voelklein.
