Dr. Heba Aguib

Dr. Heba Aguib has been a Member of the Board of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt since 2023. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and is dedicated to scaling innovation for societal benefit. Her career spans research, innovation, and cross-sector initiatives, with a strong focus on international collaboration for impact.

Since 2019, she has established the RESPOND CleanTech Accelerator and led Sustainable Finance and Investments at the Foundation. Previously, she co-founded the Aswan Heart Research Centre, where she led the Biomedical Engineering and Innovation Laboratory for Cardiovascular Disease, and served as an Honorary Fellow at Imperial College London. She also contributed to establishing TU Berlin’s Middle East and Africa satellite campus, focusing on renewable energy, water management, and urban development in the region.
