Sebastian Schreiber

Sebastian Schreiber, born in 1972, studied computer science, physics, mathematics and business administration at the University of Tübingen.

He worked for Hewlett-Packard from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, while still a student, he founded the IT security company SySS GmbH in Tübingen, which carries out security audits for a large number of companies.

Since 2000, Schreiber has regularly appeared as a live hacker at trade fairs and congresses in Germany and abroad, demonstrating how IT networks can be taken over, passwords cracked and data stolen. He is a popular IT security expert in print media, radio and television, including the Tagesschau, ZDF heute, Plusminus, hr m€x and SWR. He is also a long-standing member of the Association for Security in Industry and Trade Baden-Württemberg e.V. (ASW BW) and is active on various advisory boards.
