Dr. Fritzi Köhler-Geib

Fritzi Köhler-Geib is a member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank and is responsible for the Research Centre and the Data and Statistics, Information Technology and Risk Controlling divisions.

Before that, she was Chief Economist and First Vice President of the KfW Group. Until 2019, she had worked for over 10 years in various positions and regions for the IMF and the World Bank, most recently as World Bank Chief Economist for Central America.

She holds a doctorate in economics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the Pompeu Fabra University, Spain, and two master's degrees, one in economics and one in international management, from the University of St. Gallen, HEC Paris and the University of Michigan.

Her research interests are primarily financial crises, their stabilisation and growth-promoting reforms. She also teaches a master's programme on economic transformation processes at the Goethe University in Frankfurt.
